What is a Policy Review and why would you need one?
When life changes, you may need to update your policy. This can be a change in career, health insurance, marriage, children, equity or any new assets that you may have acquired since the last time you spoke to your insurance agent. Our knowledgeable Independent Agents can advise you of any changes that can be or need to be made on a policy. A great time for you and your agent to review your insurance policy is at renewal time. Your renewal offer may have included an increase in rating which could be due to any number of different factors and we have many carriers and programs to quote with when it comes to rating an insurance policy.
What do I do when I get my renewal?
An insurance renewal may be sent directly from your insurance carrier to you by postal mail or email if you are signed up for paperless. Always verify the information listed on your declaration page. You should always review your own policy to make sure your discounts are still valid and see if there are any changes that need to be made on coverage. If you need to change the information on your insurance policy, you should call your agent immediately so there is plenty of time to review the existing policy along with making any changes necessary. If everything is still accurate and you don't plan on making any changes, you may want to continue the coverage that you already have. It is important to make your renewal payment on time because some carriers do not allow for grace periods and you could end up with extra fees or a lapse in coverage.
Contact our agency so we can review your policy and give you expert advice.
